In its 25th year of existence, Concept Schools is thrilled to report our network of schools had a record-setting year. It all culminated with 635 seniors from 12 high schools in Concept’s network celebrating their graduation at commencement ceremonies over the last few weeks.
The Class of 2024 has shown great resilience and dedication during their time in high school– an accomplishment that's reflected in the numbers. The college acceptance rate for this year's cohort was 96%, with 68% gaining entry into four-year programs. The total amount of the merit-based scholarships increased to $52 million, the highest amount in Concept's history.
“I think you should take advantage of everything Concept has to offer,” said recent HSA Columbus High graduate Kofi Essuman Ocran. “From CYSP to after school clubs to trips like the Concept College Champions trip, like if you take advantage of them, the sky's the limit for what you can do in the future."
There is also an increasing number of seniors who have been accepted into top-ranked universities such as MIT, Princeton, Johns Hopkins, and more. It comes as no surprise as Concept network schools have been recognized for being the top charter schools in their respective states in 2023, according to U.S. News & World Report.
“When we first opened Concept Schools, we envisioned positioning our students to become the greatest versions of themselves,” Concept Schools President/CEO Sedat Duman said. “Being able to see up front how this year’s class was able to take their passion and set themselves up for success in the future only further cements my belief Concept’s model is the most effective option out there.
“We are proud of this group not only for what they have accomplished over the last four years but how they will continue to blossom into difference makers in their communities.”
Congratulations to the Class of 2024 for an incredible year full of achievement, advancement and personal fulfillment. Concept can’t wait to watch you grow into the future leaders of tomorrow.
